tough one for the judges but in the end it was BERNIE COOPER who took 1st

VETERANS
OVER 60 AND OVER 70 Only 2
competitors in the Over 60 class. BIAGIO
FILIZOLA from Italy and TED CLIFTON
from Workington. BIAGIO took the
winners trophy, he was in fantastic condition, and TED, who is a regular
contender at the show coming a great 2nd. In the Over
70`s there was ALAN BROWN from Cheshire, and HARRY GRIFFITHS from Gateshead,
another regular contender at the show, how long can they keep competing? They were both in great shape, and amazed the
audience with their routines. HARRY took
1st place, with ALAN 2nd.
FIRST TIMERS This was
the first year we have had this class and we had 5 great contestants. PAUL HOWARTH, KEVIN CARNEY, DARREL WAILS,
KEITH COOK and PAUL LOMAX. These lads
came on stage and went for it, nerves disappeared and battle began. In the end it was PAUL HOWARTH who took 1st
place, with KEVIN CARNEY 2nd, and PAUL LOMAX 3rd.
NOVICE This class
had top quality contenders, 7 in all. DAVID
MANOJLOVIC, DARREN HOGGARTH, SHABEER HUSSAIN, STUART RHIND, ANDY NORMAN, PIERO
LUGISANO and DESMOND BAYLISS. This was a
great line up and another tough one for the judges. STUART RHIND who is a regular competitor has
made vast improvements since last year. The winner
was DAVID MANOJLOVIC great physique, we will see more of him. 2nd
with only 1 point between them was ANDY RHIND, and 3rd was
DESMONDBAYLISS. DARREN HOGGARTH took the
Best Presentation Trophy for his superb routine. PIERO
LUGISANA from Italy packed lots of muscle on his 6ft
1in frame, but his condition was not good enough on the day.
MISS INTERNATIONAL
TRAINED FIGURE Four
competitors in the class. LARISA
PRYSHCEPA (Ukraine), CORRINA MARTIN, ANNABEL FRISBY
and CHANTAL PONS of France. This was an
International line up of excellence. LARISA came 1st, with CORRINA 2nd who was also the winner of the best
presentation trophy. ANNABEL was 3rd. It was
CORRINA`s first competition and looking at her condition and routine we will be
seeing more of her in the future. Finally
CHANTAL PONS who at 53 years of age was in great shape and took the title of
Miss International Over 50`s.

IAN WELLS, GARY BLACKSTONE, MASOON BUTT, JO WALKER, DAVE HANCOX, GEOFF
HARGREAVES, DARREN SMITH and OSCAR ROBERTS. This was
one of the hardest line ups we have seen at the show. The judges, Amanda Kay, Cheryl Green, Paul
Sutton, Mike Ahern and Falina Cosata from the Ukraine, had great difficulty in finding
the eventual winners. Finally 1st
place went to GEOFF HARGREAVES, great
physique and condition. 2nd place IAN WELLS and 3rd was JO WALKER. There was only 1 point between each of the
